Arequipa

In Peru they have a word for resting place—Arequipa. Don’t we all long for such a place, even for a little while? We can see ourselves lounging on a sea of grass or a quiet stream. This is a tranquil place, a place where our bodies relax and our minds are set free. The sculpture is in three sections, but mounted in such a way as to look like a single work. A mounting template is provided.

This piece won a first place ribbon from the West Valley Arts Council of Surprise, Arizona.
